MORAG COOK DESIGN
cells or veins
by morag cook on June 13th, 2012

I love this work by Zaha Hadid. We are working with Cylinders in the design and have been looking for a way of making sense of these objects in relation to the balloons. The cylinders act as delivery devices for the balloons into what looks like an internal thinking space... maybe its his brainnnnnnn. The balloon represents, in part, a thought and the cylinder is the way the thought gets into the space. This image is an expression of so many ideas. digital fabrication, grid of the programming space (i.e. brain), a place of thought. The material feels like an organic material like internal organs or veins.
